Dr. Philip (Flip) Clifford

Philip “Flip” Clifford, MD, AAHKS, AAOS, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in outpatient total knee and hip replacement surgery. As founder and director of the Outpatient Joint Replacement Center of America in Tampa, Dr. Clifford has spent over five years developing anesthetic and surgical protocols for outpatient joint replacement that have led to nearly all of his patients being candidates for outpatient surgery provided their general health is stable and medically well managed.

Dr. Clifford completed his orthopedic residency at Duke University, then added an additional year of fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery (hip and knee replacement surgery). Dr. Clifford then practiced in Durham for 17 years. He received his MD from the University of Florida College of Medicine.
